Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 1

Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, repelling Russian attacks near the Sribne Forestry (Luhansk region) and destroying five ammunition depots belonging to the occupiers, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the past day, there have been 67 skirmishes. The enemy carried out 2 rocket and 17 aviation strikes, conducting 46 shelling operations with reactive multiple rocket launch systems on our troops' positions and civilian areas.
Additionally, since the start of the day, Russian occupiers launched an aviation strike on Ukraine, using 2 guided missiles X-59 and 12 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. 1 X-59 guided missile and 8 combat UAVs were destroyed by air defense forces.
Unfortunately, due to the Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.
Frontlines situation
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains complex.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, no significant changes in the operational situation have been observed. Identified Belarusian Armed Forces units continue tasks in border areas adjacent to Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the adversary maintains a military presence near border areas, conducts reconnaissance activities, shells civilian settlements from Russian territory, and increases minefield density along the Ukrainian border.
Approximately 15 settlements, including Krasnyi Khutir in the Chernihiv region, Prohres and Stepok in the Sumy region, and Udy, Ternova, Vovchansk, and Varvarivka in the Kharkiv region, experienced artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy conducted assault actions near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region, where Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks. Approximately 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, the adversary carried out assault actions near Sribne Forestry in the Luhansk region, repelling 7 attacks by defense forces. About 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy attempted unsuccessful assaults in the areas of Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivskyi, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, with 18 attacks repelled by defense forces. Over 15 settlements, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Marakove, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Avdiivka front, unsuccessful enemy assaults occurred south of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, with 16 attacks repelled. About 10 settlements, including Berdychiv, Stepove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar fire.
On the Maryinka front, supported by aviation, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, firing artillery and mortars at Hostre, Maryinka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy did not engage in offensive actions. However, over 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Urozhaine, Makarivka, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy made 10 unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the areas of Robotyne and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 settlements, including Temyrivka, Malynivka, Charivne, Robotyne, Stepove, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, experienced artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Kherson front, enemy artillery shelling affected Ivanivka, Novotiahynka, Poniativka, Antonivka in the Kherson region, and the city of Kherson.
Offensive actions by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Defense forces are maintaining positions on the right bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, continuing to engage the enemy effectively.
Enemy losses
During the day, missile troops targeted three concentration areas of personnel, armament, military equipment, and destroyed five enemy ammunition depots.
The total casualties of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amount to 330,040 military personnel.
