Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 30

Russian invaders attempted to regain their lost position near Klishchiivka on the Bakhmut front but faced failure, according to the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
During the day, there were 30 combat clashes. In total, the Russians delivered seven missiles and 47 aviation strikes and conducted 43 shelling attacks using reactive systems of volley fire on the positions of our troops and in populated areas. There are civilian casualties, and private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure suffered damage and destruction.
Additionally, Russian occupiers delivered another strike on Ukraine, using 12 tactical UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type, two guided aviation missiles X-59, and four ballistic missiles Iskander-M.
All the enemy's attack UAVs and two guided aviation missiles were destroyed by air defense forces and means.
Frontlines situation
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged, with no significant signs of the enemy's offensive group formations. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are carrying out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts reconnaissance and sabotage activities, and fires upon populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation. They are also increasing the density of mines and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
More than 10 populated areas, including Dibrova in the Chernihiv region, Atynske, Stepok, Grabovske in the Sumy region, and Strilecha, Stroiivka in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to regain their positions near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Kamyanka, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, the enemy did not engage in offensive operations. They conducted airstrikes in the areas of Serebrianka forest, Spirne, and Vyimka in the Donetsk region, as well as shelled populated areas in Nevse and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Spirne and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka, and they conducted airstrikes in the areas of Andriivka and Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 populated areas, including Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, and New York in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Avdiivka front, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Avdiivka, Tonenke, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, with the defense forces repelling five attacks. They also conducted airstrikes in the areas of Arkhangelsk, Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Stepove, Berdychivka, Avdiivka, Severne, and Orlivka in the Donetsk region.
Fifteen populated areas, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Severne in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar fire by the enemy.
On the Maryinka front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, with Ukrainian defenders repelling more than 10 attacks. They also conducted airstrikes in the areas of Oleksandropil, Katerynivka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
Around 10 populated areas in the Donetsk region, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka, were under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the area of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. They launched an airstrike in the area of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva, and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy did not engage in offensive operations, but they conducted an airstrike in the area of Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 populated areas, including Malynivka, Poltavka, Hulyaipilske, Orikhiv, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamyanske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
On the Kherson front, the occupiers carried out airstrikes in the areas of Novoberislav, Zmiivka, Kozatske, Beryslav, Mykolaivka, and Tiahynka in the Kherson region. Populated areas in Kherson, Kizomys, and Bilozerka in the Kherson region and Solonchaky and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region were shelled by enemy artillery.
Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol front and engage in assault actions on the Bakhmut front. Ukrainian forces are inflicting losses on the occupying troops in terms of personnel and equipment, wearing down the enemy along the entire front line.
Russian losses
During the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation carried out 19 strikes on areas with concentrations of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, as well as one strike on an enemy air defense missile system.
Units of the missile forces targeted the enemy's air defense system, five areas with concentrations of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, nine artillery pieces, and six other important targets of the Russian occupiers.
