Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 27
Ukrainian soldiers are advancing on two fronts, repelling enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area, and destroying two Russian ammunition depots, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the day, there were 47 combat engagements. In total, the enemy launched 6 missile strikes and 8 airstrikes, and carried out 27 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launch systems on our troops' positions and civilian areas.
Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged and destroyed.
Frontline situation
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains complex.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged, with no significant signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings.
Identified units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, continues subversive-reconnaissance activities, conducts shelling of populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine.
Locations such as Bobylivka in the Sumy region and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region were shelled with artillery and mortars.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions and continued troop redeployment.
Locations like Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions and continued troop redeployment.
However, locations including Nevseke, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Siversk, Sperne in the Donetsk region were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy attempted to regain lost positions in the Andriivka area, where our defenders repelled 5 attacks.
Over 10 populated areas, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Siverske, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Maryinka front, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions in the Maryinka and Novomykhailivka areas in the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 19 enemy attacks.
Approximately 10 populated areas in the Donetsk region, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryiinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka, were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
On the Shakhtarsk front, Ukrainian forces repelled all enemy attacks near Vodiane, Zolota Nyva, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region.
Around 10 populated areas, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the occupiers attempted to regain lost positions northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region but were unsuccessful.
Around 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Huliaipole, Huliaipilskyi, Robotyne, Kamianka in Zaporizhzhia region, and Nikopol in the Dnipro region, were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
On the Kherson front, the enemy shelled artillery and mortars on Zelenivka in the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol front, conduct offensive (assault) actions on the Bakhmut front, inflict losses on the occupation forces in personnel and equipment, and exhaust the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 5 strikes on areas of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentration, and an additional 4 strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile complexes.
Missile troops units hit 4 areas of personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentration, 8 artillery pieces, 2 ammunition depots, and 3 air defense assets of the enemy.
It should be noted that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 297,680 military personnel.
