Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 11

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction. Over the past day, the aviation carried out 12 strikes on enemy personnel, equipment, and military vehicle concentration areas, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy attacks
Over the past day, there were 72 clashes. The enemy launched 1 missile and 36 airstrikes and conducted over 35 shelling incidents from multiple rocket launcher systems on our troops' positions and civilian areas.
As a result of a missile strike by Russian terrorist forces on a gymnasium in the town of Nikopol, the Dnipro region, unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged and destroyed.
Situation on the frontlines
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are fulfilling tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, continues shelling of populated areas from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. Enemy artillery and mortar shelling affected around 20 populated areas, including Turiia, Bleshnia, Tymonovychi, Arkhypivka, Mykhalchyne Sloboda in the Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Fotovyzh, Shalyne, Holyshivske, Novodmytrivka, and Porozok in the Sumy region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attacks near Synkivka and five attacks near Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region. The enemy conducted an aerial strike in the Synkivka area. More than 15 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy actively employed aviation, delivering over ten strikes on the positions of our troops in the vicinity of Serebrianka forest (southwest of Kreminna in the Luhansk region) and near populated areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, Torske, Spirne, and Vasiukivka in the Donetsk region. Defense forces repelled eight enemy attacks near Makivka in the Luhansk region and four in the areas of Torske and Serebrianka forest in the Donetsk region. More than 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Spyrne, Rozdolivka, Dibrova in the Donetsk region, were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the area of Andriivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out aerial strikes near Minkivka, Kyndrativka, Stupochok, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. More than 15 populated areas, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, and New York in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders bravely held the defense and repelled ten enemy attacks in the area of the populated locality of Avdiivka and eight more attacks in the areas east of Stepove and southeast of Severne in the Donetsk region. Occupants delivered over ten aviation strikes in the vicinity of Avdiivka. Almost 10 populated areas, including Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Opytne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Maryinka direction, the Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled eight enemy attacks in the areas of Maryinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Nearly ten populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, came under fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders repelled enemy attacks in the area south of Zolota Nyva and southeast of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. The enemy shelled about ten populated areas with artillery and mortars, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Staromaiorske, Rivnopil in the region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the occupiers carried out an aerial strike near Nikopol in the Dnipro region. Nearly 25 populated areas, including Levadne, Malydivka, Charivne, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Stepove in the Zaporizhzhia region, came under enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, enemy artillery and mortar fire affected Mykhailivka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Veletenske, Stanislav in the Kherson region, and Dmytrivka in the Mykolaiv region.
Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, conducting assault actions in the Bakhmut direction. They inflict losses on the occupying forces in personnel and equipment, wearing down the enemy along the entire front line.

During the day, the defense forces' aviation conducted 12 strikes on areas with a concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
Units of the missile troops targeted the area of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration, destroying 9 artillery pieces, an ammunition depot, and the enemy's radar station.
