Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 11

Ukrainian troops are advancing in the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions. They repelled Russian attacks near Maryinka and destroyed 5 enemy artillery units, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
During the night, the Russian Federation carried out another aerial strike with Iranian Shahed UAVs. Ukrainian anti-aircraft defenses successfully destroyed 12 enemy drones. In total, the enemy launched 10 missile and 46 aerial strikes, as well as conducted 37 artillery bombardments on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian areas.
Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population as a result of Russian terrorist attacks. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged and destroyed.
Frontline situation
Over the day, there have been more than 20 clashes.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
There have been no significant changes in the operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy conducted an aerial strike in the Leonivka area of the Chernihiv region. 7 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully held back the enemy in the Novoselivske area of the Luhansk region. The enemy carried out aerial strikes near Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region. Dvorichna, Kovalivka, Kyslivka also experienced artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Lyman direction, aerial strikes hit Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, as well as Spirne in the Donetsk region. Artillery and mortar shelling affected Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Siversk, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Berestove in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defense forces successfully held back the enemy in the Klischiivka area of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Keramik and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted an aerial strike near Avdiivka. Artillery and mortar shelling affected 6 settlements.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled enemy attacks in the Maryinka area. Approximately 10 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted aerial strikes near Prechystivka, Urozhaine, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. Around 10 settlements experienced artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks in the Novodanylivka and Robotyne areas of the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy's aviation strikes targeted Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. 3 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy shelled Beryslav, Tomaryne, Antonivka, Kherson, and Veletenske in the Kherson region with artillery and mortars.
Advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Ukrainian forces continue their offensive operations in the Melitopol and Bakhmut direction, gradually liberating the occupied territories.
Enemy losses
During the day, Ukrainian aviation carried out 7 strikes on the enemy's personnel and military equipment concentration areas. Rocket troops units destroyed 5 enemy artillery units.
The total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 269,210 military personnel.
