Ukrainian troops continue offensive operations on the Melitopol and Berdyansk fronts, they have destroyed two enemy anti-aircraft missile systems, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
Over the past day, the enemy launched 7 missile strikes and 67 airstrikes, conducting 30 artillery bombardments using multiple launch rocket systems on Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements.
Unfortunately, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population, including children. The port infrastructure in the Odesa region has suffered damage, along with residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure.
Today, the Ukrainian air defense system has successfully neutralized 2 Kh-59 cruise missiles and 13 enemy Shahed-136/131 UAVs.
Frontline situation
During the day, there have been more than 15 clashes.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains mostly unchanged.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery bombardments on more than 15 settlements.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy's unsuccessful offensive actions were observed near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. Enemy artillery and mortar shelling targeted Vilshana, Petropavlivka, and Cherneshchyna in the Kharkiv region.
On the Lyman front, enemy artillery shelling affected nearly 20 settlements, including Nevske, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy's unsuccessful offensive actions were observed near Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. Over 15 settlements were affected by the enemy's artillery shelling, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Ivanivske, and Stupochky in the Donetsk region.
On the Avdiivka front, under intense enemy aircraft and artillery fire, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russian forces' advance in the Avdiivka area of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
On the Maryinka front, the Ukrainian defense forces continue to resist the Russian forces' advance in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted an airstrike in Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were affected by artillery shelling, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, and Kurahove in the Donetsk region.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the Urozhaine and Blahodatne areas of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were affected by artillery shelling.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, more than 20 settlements were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
On the Kherson front, more than 10 settlements experienced enemy artillery shelling.
Ukrainian forces' advance
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol and Berdyansk fronts. They are consolidating their positions on achieved lines, and implementing counter-battery measures.
Extraordinary events
The enemy has intensified filtration measures in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. Between August 15 and 26, there is a prohibition on any movement of the civilian population in the area between Hola Prystan and Kinburn Spit.
Mass searches of residential premises and phone checks are being carried out. Special attention is given to residents who possess SIM cards from Ukrainian operators.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the Ukrainian forces' aviation launched 9 strikes on the concentration areas of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment, and 1 strike on an anti-aircraft missile complex.
Rocket troops and artillery units hit 1 enemy anti-aircraft missile complex during the day.
The total number of casualties in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 255,570 military personnel.
