Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 11

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, Ukrainian defense forces continue to advance on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts, consolidating their positions at achieved frontlines and conducting counter-battery measures. A total of 34 combat clashes occurred in the last 24 hours.
Enemy attacks
Over the past day, the adversary launched 5 missiles and 61 aviation strikes, along with 70 artillery barrages from rocket artillery systems, on the positions of our troops and civilian areas. Regrettably, due to the Russian terrorist attacks, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population, and residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have suffered damage.
The probability of missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Stepne, Kostyantynivka, Popivka, and Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region. They conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 25 settlements, including Klusy, Yeline, Bleshnia, and Karpovychi in the Chernihiv region; Zarichchia, Popivka, Tymofiivka, and Stukalivka in the Sumy region, and Udy, Huriiiv Kozachok, Odnorobivka, Strilecha, Okhrimivka, and Stroivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russians launched unsuccessful offensive actions in the vicinity of Nadiia and south of Novoselivka in the Luhansk region. More than 15 settlements, including Kamyanka, Rydkodub, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kindrashivka, Holubivka, Kupiansk, and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region, were targeted by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Artillery shelling by the enemy affected settlements such as Nevske, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy attempted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, and New York in the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, despite dense enemy aviation and artillery fire, our defenders continue to hold back the Russian troops' advance in the Avdiivka area of the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the northern Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Ocheretyne, Novokalynove, Novoselivka Persha, Avdiivka, and Severene in the Donetsk region, experienced enemy artillery shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, defense forces continue to resist the Russian troops' advance in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviiivka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground in the Staromaiorske area of the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the mentioned settlement area. Additionally, areas like Vodianne, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne in the Donetsk region faced enemy artillery shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the Mala Tokmachka area of the Zaporizhzhia region. Artillery fire from the enemy targeted over 15 settlements, including Olhivske, Chervone, Huliaipole, Pyatykhatky, Kamyanske, Plavne in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the Kozatske area of the Kherson region. More than 20 settlements, including Zolota Balka, Respublikanets, Chervonyi Mayak, Shliakhove, Lvove, Kozatske, Antonivka, and Veletenske in the Kherson region, as well as the city of Kherson, and Kutsurub, Ochakiv, Dmytrivka in the Mykolaiv region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
Enemy losses
During the previous day, the defense aviation carried out 10 strikes on the personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentration areas, and 2 strikes on the adversary's anti-aircraft missile complex. Moreover, our defenders destroyed 7 enemy shock drones of the Shahed-136 type.
Rocket forces and artillery units delivered strikes against 4 artillery pieces in firing positions, 2 personnel, weaponry and military equipment concentration areas, 2 radio-electronic warfare stations, and a communication node of the enemy during the previous day.
