Russia-Ukraine war: frontline update as of July 26

Russian occupiers are concentrating their efforts on preventing the advancement of our troops in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, according to the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
"During the past 24 hours, the enemy conducted 3 missile and 28 aviation strikes, carried out over 10 artillery shelling attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements using multiple rocket launch systems. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population, and residential buildings have been damaged," the press service reports.
It is noted that there were 25 armed clashes during the past 24 hours.
Frontline situations
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains its military presence. They have conducted over 20 artillery and mortar strikes on populated areas, including Semenivka and Yasna Poliana in the Chernihiv region, Vilna Sloboda, Stepne, Basivka, Mohrytsia, Pokrovka in the Sumy region, and Veterynarne, Strilecha, Hlyboke, and Kolodiazne in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy's attempted offensive actions south of Novoselivske in the Luhansk region were unsuccessful. Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Tabaivka, and Topoli in the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy's attempted offensive actions south of Dibrova in the Luhansk region were unsuccessful. Artillery shelling was experienced in the settlements of Nevske, Biloheorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spirne in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in areas north of Khromove, east of Druzhba, and north of Klishchiivka. The enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas were affected by enemy artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, and Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, under intense enemy aviation and artillery fire, our defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian forces in the area of Avdiivka. At the same time, the enemy conducted artillery shelling on over 10 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Sieverne in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the Russian forces' advance in the area of Maryinka. The enemy carried out an aviation strike near Krasnohorivka. Artillery shelling affected the settlements of Kurakhivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the area of Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Aviation strikes were carried out in the area of Blahodatne in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region, were subjected to shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of our troops. Aviation strikes were conducted in the areas of Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Piyatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region and Antonivka in the Kherson region. Over 30 populated areas were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
Enemy losses
"During the day, the defense aviation carried out 11 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, armaments, and military equipment of the enemy, and 2 strikes on their anti-aircraft missile systems," the General Staff notes.
Units of the missile forces and artillery hit 9 enemy artillery units at firing positions and 2 command points of the Russian occupiers during the day."
