"Ukrainian forces are advancing in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and were able to attack 2 artillery positions and an enemy EW station successfully, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
The Russian Federation continues its aggressive war, despite significant losses, and remains determined to fully occupy Ukrainian territory. The enemy continues to target and kill civilians in Ukraine, ignoring the laws and customs of war, using terror tactics, and launching strikes on military and civilian targets.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupiers carried out another massive missile and aviation strike on Ukrainian territory, using 3 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles, 4 Iskander land-based cruise missiles, 6 Onyx cruise missiles, 1 Kh-59 cruise missile, and 1 guided anti-aircraft missile from the S-300 air defense system.
In addition, the enemy conducted 12 aviation strikes and 29 attacks with rocket artillery on the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas.
Unfortunately, these Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in casualties and injuries among children and civilians, as well as damage to grain storage facilities in southern Ukraine, industrial objects, and the destruction and damage of more than 70 civilian residential buildings and other infrastructure.
The probability of further missile and aviation strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
The situation on the fronts
The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mayinka directions, with heavy fighting ongoing. During the past day, there have been 33 military clashes.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains relatively stable without significant changes. There are no signs of forming offensive groupings. Identified units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are carrying out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains its military presence.
The enemy conducted mortar and artillery shelling of more than 15 settlements, including Honcharivske in Chernihiv Oblast; Stukalivka, Bilovody, Stepne, Morozova Dolyna in Sumy Oblast; and Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Vysoka Yaruga, and Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast.
In the Kupiansk direction, our troops are holding the defense steadfastly. The enemy's artillery and mortar shelling were directed at Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomykhailivka, Kupiansk, and Novoosynove in Kharkiv Oblast.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Nadia, Makarivka, and Nevske in Luhansk Oblast, as well as Serebrianka Forest and Dibrova in Donetsk Oblast. The enemy also carried out aviation strikes in the regions of Serebrianka Forest, Spivne, and Dibrova in Donetsk Oblast. Artillery shelling affected Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Torske, Verkhokamianske, Spivne, and Berestove in Donetsk Oblast.
In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders successfully repelled the enemy's attacks in the area of Hryhorivka in Donetsk Oblast, despite the intense artillery fire.
Over 10 settlements were affected by enemy artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Kostiantynivka, Markove, Ivanivske, Druzhba, and Pivnichne in Donetsk Oblast.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders successfully repelled Russian troops' attacks in the Pervomaiske region of Donetsk Oblast despite intense aviation and artillery fire. The enemy also conducted aviation strikes in the area of Avdiivka. Over 10 settlements, including Keriamic, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Vodianne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, the defending forces continue to restrain the Russian troops' advances in the regions of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka in Donetsk Oblast. The enemy conducted shelling of over 10 settlements, including Maryinka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Hostre, and Pobieda in Donetsk Oblast.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted shelling of over 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Neskuchne, and Blahodatne in Donetsk Oblast.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on preventing further advancement of our forces. More than 25 settlements, including Levadne, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Bilohiria, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, Berislav, Lvove, Antonivka in Kherson Oblast; and the city of Kherson and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv Oblast, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
Ukrainian counteroffensive
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidating their positions on the achieved frontlines. They are inflicting artillery strikes on identified enemy targets and carrying out counter-battery measures.
Enemy Losses
During the day, the defense forces' aviation delivered 13 strikes on areas of personnel concentration, armament, and military equipment, as well as 3 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile complexes.
The missile troops and artillery units targeted the areas of enemy personnel, armament, and military equipment concentration, destroying 2 enemy artillery systems on firing positions and an enemy electronic warfare station.
It is worth noting that Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine have reached 240,690 military personnel. In the past day, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated an additional 680 Russian aggressors.
