Russian troops have stepped up attempts to advance toward Myrnohrad, but Ukrainian units are detecting and destroying enemy groups still on the outskirts of the city, thwarting plans to encircle it, according to the Air Assault Forces.
Attempts to bypass the city
According to the military, the enemy continues trying to bypass Myrnohrad from the northern direction, aiming to create a threat of encirclement for Ukrainian units.
Thanks to aerial reconnaissance, most enemy groups are detected on the outskirts and eliminated before they reach urban positions.

Tactics of small groups and attempts to break through with equipment
Russian troops continue to use small infantry group tactics, which remain their main method of advancement, but result in significant personnel losses.
There have also been attempts to break into the city using armored vehicles, but such columns are quickly detected by Ukrainian units and destroyed.
Situation on the front
A difficult operational situation has persisted in Myrnohrad for some time. Air Assault Forces and Marine units are involved in the city’s defense.
The Air Assault Forces previously explained that Russian troops increased pressure on Myrnohrad after failed attempts to gain control of Pokrovsk, but Ukrainian defenders strengthened the city's defenses.
Recently, paratroopers reported that the enemy is intensifying assaults in the Pokrovsk direction and increasing the use of aviation and drones, while intense fighting continues in several settlements.
In recent days, the situation in Myrnohrad near Pokrovsk has become even more complicated — the occupiers are ramping up assaults and trying to bring heavy equipment into the city’s central areas.
