Russia targets Kyiv’s civilian areas, early casualties reported

On the night of August 7, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on the capital. The enemy deliberately targets civilian objects, and the first casualties have already been reported, according to Telegram channels of the Kyiv City Military Administration and Mayor Vitalii Klitschko.
“Currently, 8 people have been injured in the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts as a result of the enemy attack on the capital. Three of them have been hospitalized, including a pregnant woman. The others are receiving assistance on site,” Klitschko said.
The previous day, the Kyiv City Military Administration had reported two injured people in the capital, but the number has now increased.
Additionally, Kyiv City Military Administration head Timur Tkachenko stated that the enemy is deliberately targeting civilian objects.
“Russian forces are intentionally and knowingly striking civilian objects,” Tkachenko wrote at 4:00 a.m. Kyiv time.
Attack on Kyiv
Russian forces have been launching massive attacks on Kyiv since the evening of September 6 and continue to do so through the night.
So far, the consequences of the enemy attack have been recorded in the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts. Approximately four buildings have been damaged, fires have broken out, and cars are burning.
