Russia targets Cherkasy region, knocks out power and damages homes

Russian forces attacked the Cherkasy region overnight on July 12 with combat drones. As a result of the strike, private residential buildings were damaged, and part of the population was left without electricity, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets.
"From evening until morning, our air defense forces repelled numerous enemy attacks. Within the Cherkasy region, they destroyed a Russian missile and also neutralized 20 UAVs. There were no injuries. That's the most important thing," Taburets noted.
According to him, in the Cherkasy district, preliminary reports indicate that eight private houses were damaged by the blast wave.
"Currently, about fifty households are without electricity. An emergency crew is already working. The area is still being inspected," the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration added.
