Russia struck DTEK's thermal power plants today, on December 25. The plants' equipment was severely damaged.

“Today, Russia has carried out another massive terrorist attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. DTEK's thermal power plants were attacked,” the statement said.

Russian massive attack seriously damaged the TPP's equipment. The power engineers note that after the Russian shelling ended, they promptly began eliminating the consequences and restoring the equipment.

This was the 13th massive attack on the Ukrainian energy sector and the 10th on the DTEK energy company's energy enterprises this year.

In total, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DTEK's thermal power plants have been shelled more than 200 times.

Russian shelling of Ukraine's energy sector

On the night of December 25, Russian troops launched another massive attack on Ukraine. Russian occupiers fired various types of missiles at night.

Ukraine's government reported that the Russians massively attacked Ukraine's energy sector. Due to the Russian shelling, Ukraine introduced blackout schedules. DTEK has published schedules for Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions.
