Russia strikes Ukraine with missile and 121 drones overnight

On the night of September 3, Russia attacked Ukraine with a guided air-to-ground missile and over a hundred attack drones. Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized most of the Russian targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
How Russia attacked Ukraine
Russia's new air strike began in the evening of September 3. The Russians launched a Kh-31P guided air-to-ground missile from the Black Sea, as well as 121 attack drones, specifically:
- Shahed-type drones (about half of which were jet-powered)
- S8000 Banderol
- Gerbera
- Parodiya-type decoy drones.
Russian drones attacked from the following directions: Millerovo, Orel, Kursk, occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces were deployed to repel the attack.
How many Russian targets did air defense neutralize
According to preliminary data, as of 9:30 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces had shot down and neutralized 103 Russian drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, S8000 Banderol, and other types of drones. The targets were neutralized in the north, south, east, and center of Ukraine.
At the same time, airstrikes were recorded at 15 locations, and downed drones (debris) were found at an additional 6 locations.
Several regions were affected by this same attack on the night of September 4. Near Kyiv, in Sofiivska Borshchahivka, warehouses caught fire—Russia continues to target civilian logistics.
In the morning, Russia also struck Odesa, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. The number of people wounded in the attacks on Kyiv also rose throughout the morning.
