Russia strikes Ukraine with 82 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of December 18, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with 82 strike drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 63 Russian drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
From 6 p.m. on December 17 to the morning of December 18, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 82 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones and other types of drones from the directions of Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia. About 50 of them were Shahed drones.
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down/suppressed 63 Russian Shahed and Gerbera drones and other types of drones in the north, south, east, and center of Ukraine.
19 Russian strike drones were recorded hitting 12 locations, and debris from downed drones was recorded at 8 locations.
"The attack continues, there are several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow the safety rules!" the Ukrainian Air Force warns.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
On the night of December 18, Russian troops attacked Cherkasy with strike drones. As a result of the Russian strikes, part of the city is without power, and there are injuries.
The fall of drones in several locations damaged residential infrastructure: at least a dozen private houses. The investigation is ongoing.
Also, as a result of the Russian attack in the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy, civilian infrastructure was damaged. Windows were broken in residential and non-residential buildings. There are no preliminary reports of fatalities, but at least one person has been injured.
In addition, in the Odesa district, Russian drone attacks damaged windows in a 9-story residential building and an educational institution. 7 people are known to have been injured.
In Kryvyi Rih, Russia struck residential areas, causing a fire. 2 people were injured.
And in the Mykolaiv region, Russia attacked energy infrastructure at night, resulting in power outages in settlements in the Voznesensk and Mykolaiv districts.
