On the night of November 5, Russian forces launched another large-scale drone attack against Ukraine, reports the Air Force of Ukraine.

A total of 80 attack drones of various types — including Shahed, Gerbera, and others — were launched from Russia's Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions. About 50 of them were Shaheds.

Air defense response

To repel the air attack, Ukraine's Defense Forces deployed aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, mobile fire groups, and drone systems.

By 9:00 a.m. Kyiv time, the Air Force reported that 61 enemy drones had been destroyed or suppressed over northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine.

Hits reported

Despite the effective work of air defense, 18 drones hit targets across seven locations, with debris falling in two more. As a result, some infrastructure facilities may have been damaged.

The Air Force added that some enemy drones were still in Ukrainian airspace and urged civilians to follow safety protocols and not ignore air raid alerts.
