Russia strikes Ukraine with 43 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

Russians attacked Ukraine with 43 drones on the night of December 30. The Ukrainian military shot down half of them, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to the Air Force, from 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, to 9 a.m. Kyiv time on Monday, December 30, Russia attacked Ukraine with 43 Shahed drones and other types of drones from Prymorsko-Akhtarsk.
As a result of combat operations, units of anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and mobile fire groups shot down 21 Shahed attack drones and other types of imitators in Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Odesa, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Another 22 Russian imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences).
During the air defense operations in the Kharkiv and Odesa regions, private houses were damaged as a result of downed Russian drones.
Consequences of Russian attack on Odesa region
According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Russian troops attacked the Odesa region with attack drones at night.
“Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed most of the Russian targets. As a result of falling debris in Rozdilnianskyi district, window glazing, facades and roofs of five residential buildings were damaged without subsequent combustion,” he wrote.
Preliminary, there are no killed or injured. All relevant services are working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of another Russian crime against the civilian population of the Odesa region.
Consequences of Russian attack on Kharkiv region
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the attack took place in an open area near a highway in the Chuhuiv district. In the same area, a short time later, a hit was recorded on an outbuilding on the territory of a household. A fire broke out there and was extinguished by rescuers.
In Kharkiv district, debris from a Russian Shahed fell on an open area in a forest belt.
In Kupiansk district, a man in his 40s was injured as a result of a Russian drone strike. He was hospitalized.
Russian Shahed attacks
The Russian army has begun to actively use Shahed-type attack drones in air strikes on the territory of Ukraine. Recently, the Russians attacked the Mykolaiv region with Shaheds. Ochakiv and Chornomorsk community were hit, and there was a wounded person.
On the night of December 28, the Russians also attacked Ukraine with 16 drones. Ukrainian air defense shot down almost all of the drones.
