Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with hundreds of strike drones. Most of the Russian targets were destroyed by the air defense forces and the Ukrainian Air Force.

"On the night of March 23, Russia launched an attack with 251 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other types of drones, from six directions; approximately 150 of them were Shaheds," the Ukrainian Air Force states.

Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 234 Russian drones.

Additionally, 17 strike drones were recorded hitting 11 locations, and downed Russian targets were found at 8 locations.

"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety guidelines," the Ukrainian Air Force adds.

Russian troops attack Ukraine every night, using drones and various types of missiles. As a rule, the majority of Russian targets are eliminated by Ukrainian air defense forces.

In particular, last night, March 22, several communities in the Kirovohrad region reported the consequences of Russian strikes.

Recently, Russians have been actively using inexpensive Molniya reconnaissance drones for surveillance at the front. Previously, Russia used more expensive drones, Orlan, Zala, and Supercam, which cost tens of thousands of dollars.
