On the night of July 9, Russia attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Shahed-type strike drones, including jet-powered ones, Gerbera and Italmas drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones. The number of targets neutralized is already known, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

This time, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea and 94 attack drones, including Shahed, notably jet-powered ones, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones, from the Bryansk, Millerovo, and Orel regions of Russia, as well as the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donetsk.

Air forces, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were deployed to repel the Russian attack.

As of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces had managed to neutralize 72 Russian drones of various types in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

Consequences of the Russian attack

2 Russian ballistic missiles and 19 drones were confirmed to have struck 13 locations. Debris from downed drones fell at four additional locations.

"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several Russian drones in the Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety guidelines!" urge the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian troops launched a double strike on a gas station in Kharkiv.

Additionally, Russia intends to jam Starlink to disrupt Ukrainian attacks.
