Russia strikes Ukraine with 156 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of January 12, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 156 drones from 6 directions. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed most of the Russian drones, but 16 hits were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

From 6 p.m. Kyiv time, on January 11, Russia attacked Ukraine with 156 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types. About 110 of them were Shaheds.
The launches were carried out from the following directions: Millerovo, Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia, and Chauda, temporarily occupied Crimea.
Air defense operations
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down/suppressed 135 Russian drones of Shahed and Gerbera types and other types of drones in the north, south, east, and center of Ukraine.
At the same time, 16 Russian strike drones were recorded hitting 11 locations, as well as downed (debris) falling at two locations.
"Russian attack continues, with several drones in Ukrainian airspace," the Air Force warns.
Russian attack on January 12
Last night, the Russians once again struck Odesa, damaging infrastructure and residential buildings.
Part of one of the districts is temporarily without electricity, and specialists are working to restore it.
Kyiv was also under a Russian drone attack. According to local authorities, in the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, Russia struck a non-residential building, and debris fell near a residential building.
Early in the morning, Russian troops launched another series of strikes on Ukraine's railway infrastructure.
