Russia strikes Ukraine with 137 drones overnight: Air defense forces' work reported

On the night of December 5, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with 137 drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 80 Russian drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to military sources, from 7 p.m. Kyiv time, on December 4 to the morning of December 5, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 137 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (Crimea). About 90 of them were Shahed drones.
Anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the Russian attack.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down/suppressed 80 Russian Shahed and Gerbera drones and other types of drones in the north, south, east, and center of Ukraine.
57 strike drones were recorded hitting 13 locations.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
On the night of December 5, Russian troops attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with strike drones. As a result of the Russian strike, a 12-year-old child was killed, and others were wounded.
Late in the evening on December 4, the Russians attacked Kharkiv with drones, causing a fire.
Russians also struck the Chuhuiv community in the Kharkiv region.
In addition, Russia destroyed the Kherson Thermal Power Plant on December 3.
