On the night of March 6, Russians launched 2 ballistic missiles and 112 drones at Ukraine. Russian drones attacked Ukraine from 5 directions, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia struck Ukraine with:

  • 2 Iskander-M/KN ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region of Russia
  • 112 drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Orel, Kursk, Shatalovo, Bryansk, and the temporarily occupied Chauda.

Russian attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9 a.m., 68 Russian drones have been confirmed downed in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and a number of other regions. In addition, 43 imitator drones were lost locally without any negative consequences.

Russia struck Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Russian strikes on Ukraine on March 6

Every night, Russians strike Ukraine, killing civilians. After 11 p.m. Kyiv time, an air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine due to the threat of a Russian attack. Later, it was reported that a Russian drone attacked a warehouse in Sumy. A drone also attacked a high-rise building in Kharkiv.

According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, a Russian drone struck a power facility in the region.
