On the night of March 6, Sumy experienced another airstrike from Russian occupiers. An enemy strike drone hit a warehouse, causing a fire as a result of the shelling, according to a video address by the Acting Mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.

"Unfortunately, a Shahed drone hit one of the storage facilities," he said.

The city council informed that emergency service workers (SES) are currently working to extinguish the fire caused by the drone attack.

Police are also working at the scene, and an ambulance has arrived. It is reported that there is no information about casualties or fatalities.

Kobzar urged the residents of Sumy to stay in shelters until the air alert is lifted.

Shahed attacks

As previously reported, an air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine due to the threat of enemy strikes using kamikaze drones.

As of 01:23, according to the Air Force, enemy strike drones were detected in Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Chernihiv regions.

Also, it is worth noting that on the evening of March 5, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the enemy attack, civilian infrastructure was damaged, and there were fatalities and many wounded.
