On the night of Friday, January 31, the Russian army launched 102 kamikaze drones at Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces operated in 12 regions of the country, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the night of January 31, 2025, from 9 p.m. Kyiv time on January 30, Russia attacked Ukraine with 102 Shahed drones and various types of imitator drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, and from Cape Chauda in Crimea.

Russian air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, 59 Shahed attack drones and other types of drones were confirmed to have been shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.

In addition, 37 Russian imitator drones were lost without any negative consequences.

Russia attacked Sumy, Odesa, and Cherkasy regions.

4 more Russian drones are currently in Ukrainian airspace, and combat operations are ongoing.

Russian night attack on Ukraine

Last night, the Russian army had again launched attack drones at the territory of Ukraine from several directions.

As a result of the attack, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv. The sounds of explosions were also heard in the capital. Later, it was reported that debris fell in one of the districts, and the balcony of one of the apartments in a high-rise building was damaged.

However, it was later clarified that the damage was not related to the Russian attack.
