Russia strikes Ukraine with 100 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of October 27, Russia launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Russia launched 100 strike drones of Shahed, Gerbera, and other models at Ukraine from the directions of Kursk, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).
The majority of them, approximately 70 units, were Shahed suicide drones.
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and unmanned systems of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed 66 Russian drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine. 26 Russian drone strikes were recorded in 9 locations.
Russian air attack continues, with several Russian drones still in the Ukrainian airspace. The authorities urge citizens to follow safety rules during air raid alerts and not to ignore warning signals.

On the night of October 27, Russian troops struck a critical infrastructure facility in the Sumy community. Despite the high fire load, rescuers managed to extinguish all sources of ignition. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
As a result of the Russian strikes, part of Sumy was left without power.
