Russian forces struck Sumy with four guided aerial bombs. The attack killed a man and damaged more than 20 private homes and civilian infrastructure, according to a Telegram post by Sumy acting mayor Artem Kobzar.

Four strikes hit Sumy

The strikes were reported in the Zarichnyi and Kovpakivskyi districts of the city. According to preliminary reports, a man was near one of the strike sites and was killed.

More than 20 private homes and civilian infrastructure facilities were also damaged.

Aftermath of the attack is being assessed

According to preliminary information, there are no other casualties. Emergency services are working at the strike sites, while specialists are assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the Russian attack.

Information about the scale of the damage and possible casualties is still being clarified.

Earlier, a Russian attack on the Odesa region on August 11 killed two people and injured three others. The strike hit a tanker truck, which caught fire.
