Russian troops attacked the south of the Odesa region with strike drones at night. The strike caused several fires and left one person injured, according to Odesa Regional military administration head Oleh Kiper.

"At night, Russian troops attacked the southern Odesa region with strike drones. Most Russian targets were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense forces. At the same time, damage to civilian infrastructure in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district was recorded," Kiper says.

According to him, two single-story administrative buildings were destroyed in the Russian attack, followed by a fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. Unfortunately, a security guard was injured and received medical assistance on-site.

"The relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences. Law enforcement agencies are recording another Russian war crime against the civilian population of the Odesa region," the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration adds.

Russian strikes on Odesa and region

The Russians regularly attack Odesa and the region with strike drones and various types of missiles. Among the priority targets are port and energy infrastructure, etc.

On January 13, Russian drones attacked Odesa in several waves. 5 people were injured as a result of the Russian strike.

Russian strike affected the central part of the city: fires broke out in a non-residential building, a fitness center, a vocational school, and a garage with a passenger car. The facades and windows of six apartment buildings and a kindergarten were also damaged.

Two DTEK energy facilities were damaged as a result of the Russian night attack on Odesa. In addition, two garages and nine cars were damaged. Operational headquarters are working in the city to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack.
