As a result of a Russian night strike on June 6 in Chernihiv, four people were injured. Two more remain trapped under the rubble, according to Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration.

"We’ve summed up the aftermath of the enemy's night attack. All municipal services are working on site. Heads of public utilities will try to restore electricity and water supply by the end of the day," Bryzhynskyi stated.

According to him, four people were injured in the attack. Two received medical assistance at the scene, while the others were hospitalized.

“Unfortunately, the State Emergency Service units are still conducting debris removal operations. Two people—security guards of an industrial facility—remain trapped under the rubble,” the head of the City Military Administration added.

As a result of the enemy attack, the following were also damaged:

  • 6 private houses;

  • 2 industrial enterprises;

  • 215 apartments;

  • an educational and a medical institution;

  • 8 vehicles

Attack on Chernihiv

On the night of June 6, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Chernihiv. They targeted a residential area, causing destruction and injuries. In particular, the apartment buildings and private homes, as well as the enterprise and infrastructure facilities, were damaged as a result of the attack.

According to preliminary information, the Russian army attacked the city with Geran-2 drones, cruise missiles, and Iskander-M missiles.
