Russia strikes Shostka, Sumy region, with missiles: Child injured, hospital damaged

Russia launched a missile attack on the Shostka community during the night of July 15, damaging a hospital and injuring a girl, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Around 1 a.m., Russian forces carried out three missile strikes on the city of Shostka in the Sumy region. One of the targets was a medical facility, which caught fire as a result.
A 14-year-old girl was injured in the shelling. She sustained glass shrapnel wounds while running to a shelter.
The girl was hospitalized and is receiving the necessary medical care.

In addition to the hospital, several apartment buildings, private houses, and a non-residential facility were damaged.
Rescue teams quickly extinguished the fire and inspected the area for additional damage or threats.
"The enemy is deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure. Civilians and children are suffering," said Hryhorov.
Strike on Shostka
As a reminder, on the evening of July 12, Russian forces carried out drone strikes on the Shostka community, sparking fires.
As a result of the attack, non-residential buildings caught fire.
Additionally, during the day, the enemy launched an airstrike on the region using a guided aerial bomb, killing two residents of a village in the Velykochornetsky district. Reports also noted destruction and damage to residential buildings.
