Late in the evening on July 12, Russian forces launched a drone strike on the Shostka community, sparking fires, according to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

"Around 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time, the enemy carried out a massive UAV strike on civilian infrastructure in the Shostka community," he reported.

According to him, the Russian attack ignited non-residential buildings. The consequences are being clarified. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties.

Notably, earlier in the day, the enemy struck the region. As a result of a guided aerial bomb attack, two residents of one of the villages in the Velykochornetskyi community were killed. Reports also mentioned destruction and damaged homes.

During the night of July 12, Russia launched Shahed attack drones and cruise missiles at Ukraine. The overnight assault was one of the largest in recent times.

Russia deployed over 600 aerial weapons, including Kh-101 cruise missiles and Shahed kamikaze drones.

Shockwaves from the strikes hit several regions across Ukraine, including Lviv, Kharkiv, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, Sloviansk, and other cities.

The attacks targeted not only military infrastructure but also civilian buildings.

In Lviv, a drone destroyed the entrance to a residential building, causing a gas leak. In Lutsk, a private home was completely destroyed.
