On the night of October 12, Russian troops attacked Naftogaz's gas production infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, causing a fire and damaging critical equipment.
According to the company, Russian troops used a missile-equipped drone. A fire broke out at the gas production facility after it was hit.
During the Russian strike, company employees took cover. None of them were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
However, the Russian strike damaged critical equipment. Serhii Fedorenko, acting chairman of the Naftogaz board, states that company employees are working to address the consequences of the Russian strike as quickly as possible and minimize risks to the stable operation of the power grid.
Currently, specialists from the Naftogaz Group are working to resolve the emergency and restore the damaged infrastructure.
On October 2, a Russian FPV drone deliberately attacked a Gazmerezh vehicle in the Zolochiv community of Kharkiv region.
Five employees were in the vehicle, on their way to perform repair work. The gas workers managed to get out of the car before the Russian strike, so no one was injured.
