In the Kharkiv region, a Russian FPV drone deliberately targeted a vehicle belonging to Gazmerzh, part of the Naftogaz Group. Five employees who were traveling to repair work were inside the car, according to Naftogaz (state gas company).

The incident occurred in one of the settlements of the Zolochiv community. The gas workers spotted the enemy drone in time and managed to jump out of the car before it was hit.

Thanks to the specialists' quick reaction, no one was injured, although the vehicle itself was damaged.

"This case once again shows that the enemy is deliberately attacking people who ensure the restoration of gas infrastructure. However, despite extremely difficult conditions, our colleagues continue to work so that Ukrainians receive a stable gas supply," noted Serhii Fedorenko, Acting Chairman of the Naftogaz Management Board.

This is already the 14th Russian attack on Gazmerzh employees since the beginning of 2026. Russian troops attack brigades both while responding to emergency calls and directly during repair work.

During this period, Naftogaz Group gas workers have eliminated nearly 3,300 emergencies caused by Russian shelling and continue to restore gas supply under complex and dangerous conditions.

Russian forces systematically strike facilities of the Naftogaz Group.

In particular, on the night of September 22, the Russian army struck an oil and gas complex facility in the Poltava region with ballistic missiles. According to the company, at least five missiles hit the enterprise.

Furthermore, in August, it became known that Russia had intensified attacks on Naftogaz's extraction infrastructure.

In just one week, invaders shelled the company's facilities in various regions of Ukraine 13 times, using both drones and missiles, which led to the suspension of some capacities.
