Russia launches massive ballistic missile strike on Ukraine's oil and gas facility

Overnight, the Russian army launched a ballistic strike against a facility belonging to the oil and gas complex in the Poltava region, according to Naftogaz.
On the night of September 22, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike against an oil and gas facility in the Poltava region. According to company representatives, at least five missiles struck the facility.
The missiles hit processing facilities that had already been out of operation for a long time.
The facility has been a target of the Russian military since 2022. During this time, it has been attacked dozens of times—both by drones and missiles.
Due to constant Russian strikes, the facility's equipment has long been rendered inoperable.
The company states that the latest strike caused critical damage. The damage is such that it effectively makes the facility's restoration and continued operation impossible.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a retaliatory strike against the Bashneft-UNPZ oil refineries in Ufa and the Kuibyshev oil refinery in Samara, where fires broke out after the strikes.
Due to Russian strikes, the Ukrainian logistics company Berger Cargo lost nearly half of its warehouses, with damages estimated at 65 million hryvnias.
