Russian forces attacked the Odesa region with UAVs on the night of May 16. As a result, homes and cars were destroyed and three people were injured, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

The Russian drone attack resulted in the destruction of private residential houses, outbuildings, and a garage with three vehicles. Fires broke out but have since been extinguished.

Preliminary reports indicate that three people were injured and taken to the hospital.

The Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, clarified that during the night, the Russians struck Odesa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts. According to him, one man continued outpatient treatment after receiving medical assistance, another injured person is in moderate condition, and a woman is in extremely critical condition.

In addition, a Russian drone destroyed the house of the director of Odesa Zoo in the settlement of Ovidiopol near Odesa. The man was not harmed, but his pets were put in danger - some went missing during the explosion.

Night attack by Russia on May 16

Last night, Russian troops once again launched attack drones against Ukraine. The movement of enemy UAVs was recorded over the Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions.

Russian drones also reached Kyiv. In the capital of Ukraine, air defense was active in the morning. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, debris from downed drones fell, causing a fire.

Later, the Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that the debris fell on the territory of a boiler facility. There is also information about damaged windows and vehicles in a residential area.
