Late in the evening on October 15, Russian troops attacked the sorting depot and cargo department of Nova Poshta (Ukraine's post service - ed.) in Nizhyn, Chernihiv region. As a result of the strike, none of the employees were injured, Nova Post reports.

"As a result of Russian strikes on the Chernihiv region on the evening of October 15, the sorting depot and cargo department of Nova Poshta in Nizhyn were damaged. None of the employees were injured," Nova Post reports.

The parcels that were in the department survived. The cargo that was in the depot at the time of the strike was partially burned. Detailed information about the damaged cargo will be determined after the consequences of the fire have been eliminated.

Emergency services are working at the scene. Debris is currently being cleared, the condition of the premises is being assessed, and urgent reinforcement work is underway.

"Nova Poshta will compensate customers for lost shipments. We will contact you shortly with details about compensation and other necessary information," the company adds.

Russian strikes on Nova Poshta

As a result of massive Russian shelling of Kyiv on the night of August 28, the Nova Post sorting depot was hit. 3 company employees were injured.

In addition, on the afternoon of August 29, Russian troops launched a drone strike on a Nova Post branch in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. One person was killed and another was injured.

On October 5, Russians attacked the Donetsk region. Russian strike damaged a Nova Poshta branch.
