On the night of April 24, the Russian occupiers launched a combined attack on Kyiv. Russian invaders fired missiles of various types and drones, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.

"Russia launched everything: Kalibr missiles, ballistic missiles, Shahed drones. In Kyiv and the region alone, 45 drones were spotted," noted Tkachenko.

The consequences of the Russian drone and missile attack were recorded in five districts of Kyiv, namely:

  • In the Holosiivskyi district, cars and garages were burning, and debris fell on the territory of non-residential buildings. Garages and a 2-story administrative building were partially destroyed.
  • In Shevchenkivskyi district, the drone fell in an open area, and garages and non-residential buildings were on fire. An administrative building was destroyed.
  • In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a house was partially destroyed, people were under the rubble, cars were burning, non-residential buildings were burning, and a one-story house was partially destroyed.
  • In the Solomianskyi district, A Russian drone fell in the open area.
  • In the Obolonskyi district, cars and grass were burning, a fire broke out on the roof of a non-residential building, and a warehouse was on fire.

There was also information about a fire in an open area in the Desnianskyi district, but it was not confirmed.

As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, 9 people have been reported killed in Kyiv. Preliminary, over 70 people were injured, including children. Emergency rescue operations are still underway at several locations.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 31 people are in hospitals, and 5 children are hospitalized.

Russian massive strikes on Ukraine

Last night, on April 24, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. Russia attacked Kyiv and Kharkiv, as well as Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy regions, and Zaporizhzhia.

In Kyiv, the biggest damage was in the Sviatoshynskyi district, where a residential building was partially destroyed. The debris is being cleared.

The mayor of Kharkiv said that Russians attacked the city 24 times with missiles and drones overnight. Residential buildings were hit, and two people were reported injured.
