During a combined attack on Ukraine, Russia massively struck Kharkiv. Russian occupants attacked the city 24 times, according to the mayor, Ihor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

"At the moment, according to our Situation Center, Russia attacked Kharkiv 24 times at night. 14 times by Russian drones, 10 times by Russian missiles," Terekhov said.

Consequences of Russian attack on Kharkiv

In Kharkiv, multi-storey residential buildings, a city clinic, a school building, private households, manufacturing enterprises, and a hotel complex were damaged.

In particular, as a result of hitting the ground, the windows of three high-rise buildings were damaged.

"Two people were injured due to an acute stress reaction," noted Syniehubov.

Also, according to him, after 2 a.m. Kyiv time, a hit was recorded, preliminary, by a Russian Kh-59 missile, in a forest belt.

"Litter was burning on an area of 10 square meters. The windows of two multi-storey buildings were damaged. The fence was also partially damaged," added the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

Russian strikes on Kharkiv on April 24

After 1 a.m. Kyiv time on Thursday, April 24, it became known that Russia launched missiles in the direction of Kharkiv, including ballistic missiles from the east. The mayor immediately reported the missile attack, and repeated explosions were heard in the city.

After 2 a.m. Kyiv time, the Russian army launched 7 strikes on Kharkiv. In particular, one of the strikes fell on the Novobavarskyi district. Windows in nearby high-rise buildings were smashed.

An hour later, Kharkiv was attacked by Russian drones. At least 6 explosions were heard in the city. Russian drones attacked the city for half an hour. According to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent, at least 11 explosions were heard in the city during the Russian drone attack.

Then the number of Russian strikes on Kharkiv increased to 19 (7 missiles and 12 kamikaze drones). The Russian attack damaged a manufacturing plant, multi-story buildings, and private homes. In the morning, 2 people were reported injured in Kharkiv.
