Russia strikes Kyiv: Residential building damaged, consequences revealed
On the night of October 30, Russia attacked Kyiv with drones. As a result of the attack, a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi district was damaged.

This was the 19th Russian air attack on Kyiv since the beginning of October. The air alert in the capital was announced on the evening of October 29 at 3:26 a.m. Kyiv time on October 30. It lasted a little over 2 hours.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, Russian drones entered Kyiv from different directions and at different altitudes.
All drones were neutralized.
As a result of the Russian attack, drone debris fell in the Solomianskyi district and a fire broke out in a nine-story building.
The fire broke out in several apartments. According to the rescuers, the fire spread to the second and third floors.
As of the morning, the fire was extinguished in an area of 40 square meters. During the firefighting, 18 people were evacuated, and another 30 residents were taken out into the fresh air.
Both local authorities and rescuers report that 9 people were injured in the fire, including an 11-year-old child (preliminary diagnosis of acute stress reaction).
Other consequences of Russian attack
In addition to the high-rise building, an eight-story administrative building in the Solomianskyi district also burned. Subsequently, a gas regulating point (GRP) was depressurized. The fire has already been extinguished.
Kyiv City Military Administration also reported that a kindergarten building was damaged in Solomianskyi district.

Russia's night attack on Ukraine
On the night of October 30, Russian troops fired 62 attack drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of unspecified type at Ukraine. Russia also fired an unidentified missile from the Belgorod region at a private sector in the Sumy region.
As of 7 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 33 drones. The air defense system was operating in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions. Another 25 drones were lost in the area.
