This morning, on October 21, the Russian army struck a kindergarten in the city of Zaporizhzhia. The blast wave and debris damaged nearby cars, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Administration, and the State Emergency Service (SES).

According to the SES, at around 9:15 a.m., the enemy hit a residential area in one of the city's districts, partially destroying a two-story kindergarten building.

As of 10:30 a.m., four people were reported injured. Search and rescue operations were underway at the scene.

Later, at 3:01 p.m., Fedorov clarified that the number of injured had risen to 15.

It is also known that two people have died.

"Medics continue to examine the injured and provide them with all necessary care," Fedorov wrote.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia

Earlier today, it was reported that an explosion occurred in Zaporizhzhia during an air raid alert.

Russian forces frequently shell Zaporizhzhia. On October 19, Russia carried out two strikes on the city, injuring civilians, including children.
