Russia strikes industrial facility in Ternopil overnight: Fire still ongoing
On the night of August 20, the Russian occupiers attacked an industrial facility in Ternopil. Currently, emergency services are working at the site of the Russian strike, according to the Ternopil Regional Military Administration.
Russia struck Ternopil around 3 a.m. All relevant special services were working at the scene. Over 90 rescuers and 20 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Two fire trains from Ternopil and Lviv were also involved.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire. As of this moment, no excess of harmful substances in the air and water has been detected, but some measurements require additional time. The vapor cloud is moving in a southwesterly direction downwind.
The Ternopil Regional Military Administration urged residents not to leave their homes unnecessarily, to limit children's exposure to the street as much as possible, to close windows indoors, and to thoroughly wash food brought from the yard.

Earlier, a fire broke out in Ternopil at night during an air raid alert. Residents of the city were asked to limit their stay outside.
In total, on the night of August 20, Russia attacked Ukraine with various types of missiles and kamikaze drones. The Ukrainian Air Force shot down 28 targets out of 30.
