Late at night on August 26, Russia launched an attack on Kryvyi Rih. The strike resulted in the deaths of two people, with five others sustaining varying degrees of injuries, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS).

At midnight, a missile hit a hotel, partially destroying the four-story building. DSNS personnel managed to rescue five people.

As of the morning, search and rescue operations are ongoing. Two more people may still be trapped under the rubble.

The attack damaged six stores, four apartment buildings, and eight vehicles.

"Alongside the rescuers, DSNS climbers and dog handlers are working at the site. DSNS psychologists assisted 11 adults and two children," the report said at 7:28 AM.

On August 26 at 11:18 PM, the military warned Ukrainians of a ballistic weapon threat from temporarily occupied Crimea.

A few minutes after the ballistic alert, explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih. The head of the city's defense council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported that a civilian infrastructure building was destroyed due to the Russian strike. Two people were also reported dead.

The aggressor country carried out a large-scale attack on Ukraine for the second day in a row.
