Russia strikes high-rise in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia, casualties feared

Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine on October 5. According to reports from Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Defense Council, and Mykhailo Semikin, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, a high-rise residential building was hit.
Semikin said Russians targeted a residential building in the city, sparking a fire. Preliminary reports suggest people may be injured.
Fedorov, in turn, said that Russian forces attacked a high-rise apartment building.
At 8:40 p.m., Semikin said a rescue operation is currently underway at the site of the strike in Zaporizhzhia.

Later, at 8:50 p.m., Military Administration chief Fedorov said that two people were known to have been injured in the attack. Residents of the high-rise building were also trapped on one floor.
Ukraine under Russian strikes
Russian forces continue their attacks on civilians across Ukraine, using jet-powered drones, guided bombs, and missiles.
Today, on October 5, they launched three guided aerial bombs at Kharkiv.
As of now, it is known that 53 people were injured as a result of Russian strikes, while five others were killed.
Russia damaged more than 30 high-rise apartment buildings in the city with its aerial bombs. Dozens of private homes were also damaged.
