Russia strikes foreign-invested plant in Zhytomyr region for second time this week

Russian forces struck a foreign-invested plant in the Zhytomyr region on Friday, September 25, for the second time this week, according to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.
"The enemy continues to target civilian enterprises in the Zhytomyr region that were previously destroyed. Today, for the second time this week, the Kromberg & Schubert enterprise with foreign investments in the Zhytomyr hromada came under attack," he said.
Bunechko noted that State Emergency Service rescuers, bomb disposal experts, and special services are working at the impact site. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or injuries.
"Do not neglect air raid warnings, follow safety rules, and take care of yourself and your loved ones," the regional administration head urged.
The previous strike on the Kromberg & Schubert plant in the Zhytomyr region occurred on September 22, sparking a fire following the enemy attack.
Notably, on August 9, Russia already attacked the German-owned Kromberg & Schubert plant in the Zhytomyr region. The facility produces electrical wiring systems for global automotive brands (Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche).
The plant's production facilities and infrastructure sustained significant damage, prompting the company to announce a temporary suspension of operations indefinitely.
