Russia strikes food warehouses and Red Cross facilities in Boryspil

In the Boryspil district, Russian forces struck food warehouses and Red Cross facilities overnight; fires are still burning there, citing a post by Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi.
The scale of the nighttime attack
The attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region lasted nearly 9 hours straight. The enemy fired dozens of missiles and rocket-powered drones at civilian targets.
As of this moment, 462 State Emergency Service rescuers and 116 pieces of specialized equipment are working to address the aftermath of the attack.
As of now, at least 13 people are known to have died. Twelve of them were in Kyiv, and one person died in the region.
Another 40 people were injured and are receiving the necessary medical care. Missiles and drones struck residential buildings and a children’s hospital.
Following the massive attack on Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko declared August 21 a Day of Mourning in the capital and banned entertainment events.
RBC-Ukraine also reported on the timeline of the massive strike: the enemy used ballistic missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and drones, and the air raid alert in Kyiv lasted nearly 9 hours.
Due to infrastructure damage, Ukrzaliznytsia has rerouted several commuter trains.
