Russia conducted an airstrike on a factory in Sumy overnight on August 30, injuring nine people, according to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, at approximately 1:30 AM on August 30, the occupiers launched an airstrike on a factory in the city of Sumy, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law.

"As a result of the occupiers' attack, nine people have been injured, according to preliminary data. Efforts to extinguish the fire are currently underway," the statement said.

Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Shelling of Sumy

This is not the first time Russian forces have attacked the city of Sumy. On the night of August 30, Russia struck Sumy from the air. Reports indicated that a fire had broken out, and smoke was observed in the air, with casualties confirmed.

The occupiers also attacked Sumy on August 24. Russian forces targeted the city's residential sector, and one person was reported dead.
