Late in the evening on December 20, Russian forces launched a second drone strike on Kharkiv. The attack damaged private homes, and two people are reported to have been injured, states Dmitry Chubenko, spokesperson for the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.

"At 11:40 p.m. Kyiv time, Russian forces launched a second strike on Kharkiv for the day. Specifically, the attack targeted the Kyivskyi district near private residential buildings," he informed.

According to preliminary information, the enemy used a Shahed-136 drone for the attack. The drone struck a tree, so the damage to civilian buildings was minimal. However, around ten homes sustained damage to their facades, including broken windows and glazing.

"Two individuals have sought medical attention, both suffering from acute stress reactions, one of whom is an elderly woman. A criminal investigation has been opened into this war crime," Chubenko reported.

According to him, at 11:20 p.m. Kyiv time, Russian forces struck a civilian enterprise in the settlement of Solonytsivka. Preliminary reports indicate that the enemy used a Shahed-type drone for the attack. A criminal investigation has also been launched in connection with this incident.

The first strike on Kharkiv on December 20 was an attack on the Saltivskyi district. A drone struck a multi-story building between the 1st and 2nd floors.

As a result of the attack, 6 people were injured, including a 12-year-old child. State Emergency Service (SES) rescuers saved three individuals. The fire was extinguished at 11:04 p.m. Kyiv time, but recovery operations continued.
