Russian troops shelled 17 settlements in the Kherson region over the past day. A critical infrastructure facility was hit, according to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

Over the past day, Kherson, Antonivka, Stanislav, Inhulets, Prydniprovske, Novovorontsovka, and 11 other settlements came under Russian fire and air strikes.

According to the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian occupiers hit a critical infrastructure facility and a medical institution. The Russian army also attacked residential areas, damaging three high-rise buildings and 24 private houses.

In addition, the Russians damaged garages, an outbuilding, a gas pipeline, and private cars.

Two residents of the Kherson region were injured as a result of Russian strikes.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of October 23, Russians launched 81 drones and fired a Kh-31P missile at the Odesa region.

As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, 57 Russian drones were confirmed downed. Another 15 Russian drones were lost in the area. Up to 9 Russian drones are observed in Ukrainian airspace.

Air defense systems were operating in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions. 19 Russian drones were destroyed in Sumy region alone.
