Russia strikes children's café in Zaporizhzhia region: Casualties reported
On Tuesday, August 20, Russia struck a children’s café in the village of Malokaterynivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, states the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, as a result of the shelling, three children were injured, one of them in serious condition.
He noted that the Russian forces hit the café directly.
"These are the consequences of the Russian strike on Malokaterynivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The terrorist mutilates civilians and will not even stop at children. We must stop this," Fedorov wrote.
Situation in the Zaporizhzhia region
Russian forces continue to strike the Zaporizhzhia region. Earlier, Fedorov reported that work is underway in the region to build six underground schools.
At the beginning of August, it was reported that a power substation in the Zaporizhzhia region was deactivated following the fall of a Russian drone. In June, the Russian troops used explosive bombs to attack the region, completely destroying a building where civilians lived.
At the same time, according to Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesperson for the Tavria operational group of troops, there have been no Russian assault actions recorded in the Zaporizhzhia direction over the past three days, which is atypical behavior for the invaders.
