Russian Federation has launched a new phase of round-the-clock terror against Ukraine's civilian population, focusing its strikes on bridge infrastructure, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said.

According to him, after attacks on food warehouses, retail chains, pharmacies, and critical databases, Russian forces have moved to systematic strikes on bridges, which are vital arteries for the country's functioning.

In particular, over the past several days, Russia has struck two Kyiv bridges six times. The strikes were carried out precisely when civilian vehicles were crossing them, and subway trains were passing through.

"The world cannot simply watch and wait — we urge strong reactions by our partners. Both in words and deeds. Make clear to Moscow that it must stop its escalation and terror — and engage in diplomacy and peace efforts," Minister Sybiha stressed.

Ukraine has called on its allies to take specific steps to counter Russian aggression.

In particular, they should strengthen Ukraine's air defenses to protect critical infrastructure, impose effective sanctions on Russia's military-industrial complex, and compile lists of individuals and organizations that assist the Russian regime in committing crimes.

"This week marked a new chapter in Russia's campaign of all-day terror against civilians," the foreign minister emphasized.

As reported, in recent days, Russian forces have intensified systematic attacks on crossings over the Dnipro River in the capital.

In particular, on the morning of October 3, two people were injured in a Russian strike on Kyiv's Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge.

The following day, Russian forces attacked again. Two people were also injured in another strike on the Pivnichnyi Bridge on the morning of October 4.

Because of the systematic attacks on bridge infrastructure, Western media, including The New York Times, have warned that Kyiv could face a "logistical nightmare" if the crossings connecting the capital's left and right banks are seriously damaged.
