Russia spreads fakes about Ukrainians' travels within EU - Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied
Ukrainians were allegedly restricted in their movement within the European Union. However, this information turned out to be another fake, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service.
What happened
Recently, information spread on social media that Ukrainians had restrictions on movement within EU countries. The originators of such information claimed that such restrictions were allegedly imposed due to constant violations by Ukrainians.
However, they did not specify what specific violations were being referred to. According to the authors of this information, Ukrainians allegedly either improperly disposed of garbage in bins or organized parties, thus affecting their neighbor's psychological state.
At the same time, there was no information about whether there was an official source for such statements regarding restrictions on the movement of Ukrainians.
Reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The ministry stated that reports of "restrictions on the movement of Ukrainians within the EU" and similar ones are unfounded and do not correspond to reality.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine calls on relying solely on information from official sources, including the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the social media of the ministry and the diplomatic missions abroad," the statement said.
Ukrainians are advised to inquire about information on changes in entry rules or conditions for Ukrainians abroad from the embassies or consulates of the respective countries or follow the news on official platforms.
Russian fakes and propaganda
It is worth noting that disseminating knowingly false facts is a favorite activity of Russian propaganda. In this way, the terrorist state seeks to destabilize the situation in other countries or attempt to divide society.
As an example, intelligence recently warned that Russia is preparing another powerful information-psychological campaign against our country using the theme of "presidential elections."
